Rich Thompson is CEO of Ameripublic Partners, a strategic public affairs firm specializing in educational policy, talent pipeline management and corporate growth strategy. Previously, he served as VP of Business Development for YouScience, an aptitude-aligned career discovery platform, and spearheaded its statewide implementation for Georgia and Alabama — along with major public charter school networks and youth support organizations nationwide.

Additionally, Rich served as founding executive director of the Georgia PTO(parent teacher organization)-a statewide network of public charter schools, board trustee of the Georgia 4-H Foundation and chairman of the University of Georgia CAES Dean's Advisory Council. This year, Rich began his 12th year on the governing board of Georgia Connections Acedemy (GACA), a virtual public charter school serving 7,000+ K-12 students. During his tensure, he's served as board chair, vice-chair and the baord's goevernmental affairs liaison.

A third-gerneration education professional, Rich Thompson seeks to equip and empower future gernerations from the kitchen table to the capitol dome. Rich earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Georgia.
