Dr. Stephan Mathis II is a Senior Materials Program Manager at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing in Washington, DC. He received his doctorate degree in chemistry from Clark Atlanta University and bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Florida State University. Stephan has years of experience in analytical laboratories, with expertise in ICP-MS and GC-MS along with numerous other laboratory techniques. He has published multiple papers with his work in metal-organic frameworks having radiation sensing applications. As an inventor, Stephan owns a patent of an apparatus with applications in the mobile microscopy industry. Currently, his hobbies include creating advanced AutoCad designs to create complex 3D prints. Stephan hopes to inspire young scientific minds through outreach and mentoring programs.
