ABOUT US
The History Of Our Laboratory
We are Cannabiz Laboratory, an Analytical Laboratory located in metropolitan Atlanta testing Cannabis, Industrial Hemp and CBD products. We also test Extracts, Edibles, Liquid and Topical Infused products.
We were founded in 2019 after research determined that the increasing need of cannabis cultivators for testing and quality control of hemp products spurred market growth and we decided to start a cannabis testing laboratory that performs analytical testing of hemp and cannabis derived products to demonstrate the safety and efficacy of those products and meet client and market demands.

Our R&D department can provide the formulations help that you need and take your thought from an idea to a certified finished product for sale.
Cannabis and cannabinoid drugs are widely used to treat disease or alleviate symptoms.
To conduct a systematic review of the benefits and adverse events of cannabinoids.
Patient-relevant/disease-specific outcomes, activities of daily living, quality of life.
Medical cannabis refers to the use of cannabis as medical therapy to treat disease.
Cannabinoids testing analyzes the percentage of cannabinoids contained in the sample being tested and involves gas or liquid chromatography for a range of matrices. Potency data on both THC and CBD as both strongly influence the effects of the product.
Terpenes testing measures the fragrance and flavor compounds of a cannabis sample.
Terpene testing profiles the cannabis to help identify strains, as well as to help uncover the potential effects of a particular flower or product.
Potency testing demonstrates compliance, accurately label products and ultimately obtain a certificate of authenticity from an accredited third-party lab. The primary cannabinoids of interest for potency tests are THC, CBD, and CBN, a breakdown product of THC.
Heavy metals such as arsenic, mercury lead, cadmium, and chromium can enter cannabis plants from contaminated soil
This testing procedure involves the extraction of active ingredients from cannabis via the use of solvents such as carbon, ethanol, butane, dioxide, water, and additional materials. This is a crucial component to achieving higher purity levels and increases the efficiency of extraction overall.
Accurate pesticide testing is necessary to ensure medical cannabis products are contaminant free and safe for human consumption.
Mycotoxins can cause a variety of adverse health effects and pose a serious health threat to both humans and livestock. The adverse health effects of mycotoxins range from acute poisoning to long term effects such as immune deficiency and cancer.
Moisture Analysis/Water Activity
Water activity is the intensive property that provides the energy of the water in a system, moisture content is an extensive property that determines the amount of moisture in a product and control spoilage. Poor drying of the plants during drug extraction processes can lead to mold or fungal infestation, which in turn may pose a risk to the health of the consumer, particularly those with immunodeficiencies.
Microbial Impurities testing is essentially the quality-control portion of the cannabis lab testing process and ensures that the cannabis in question poses no safety threats before being distributed. It involves statistical sampling, sound assay design and validation, and relevant microorganism testing.
